If you ask if I converted the player models from CS:S - Yes
I don't use ICQ, I use Yahoo Messenger...
The hands model I converted from CS:S v_hands weapon model because I was too lazy to rig all 9 player models hands
So I made a "universal" hands model for all players (TE/CT/VIP)
First time I rigged the hands as they were but this lead to a high poly count
So second time I reduced the poly count on the hands and redone the player models
Also this way the player models have same hands as the v_weapon models and uses the same texture but smaller
Further more these hands can be used to any player model with very little modification needed
I post this here because I saw that almost every player model has different problems with hands...
Either the hands don't have all bones, thus they aren't animated, either when animated they look awkward...

do you have skype? can you convert 1 player model from css for me? or from csgo? or can you teach me how to? i need your player models but with tehir normal hands and with defuse and bomb like in css/csgo

I have Skype but I never used it... I don't remember my username & password for Skype now I'm not home
Rigging default hands of CS:S player models it's a pain and looks bad because the polygonal structure it's only good for rigging on bones with vertex weights.
That's why I made a "pair of hands" for all models. It was a bit harder at first but now I can use them on any player model with very little effort.
Not to mention that using these hands the players have the same hands models as the v_weapon models, just lower poly count (as it should be)

Changing only the backpack of players (Bomb/Defuser) isn't much of a problem. It will just take a new reference and a recompile.
If you just want CT to have CS:S Defuser you only need to change the texture and save the models The CT player models already have CS:S Defuser, I only used a different texture which I found to be nicer.
To change TE to have CS:S Bomb I will recompile them with the w_c4 model, but this I'll do when I'll get back home

I can't download it... ~15 Kb/s and drop to 0Kb/s when almost half downloaded... very bad sharing host.

I just got home I downloaded the model and decompiled it. It doesn't have LOD references... I use LOD2 or LOD3 reference for converting the models. This model has too high poly count for CS 1.6 and it will look very bad when converted.
I don't promise anything, but maybe tonight I will take a look and see what models were used to make this vip model.
If I find them I will decompile the original models and use the LOD's to remake the model for CS 1.6

i decompiled this model, i have textures and meshes (refs), qc, i can give them for you, just asign to bones of cs1.6, please dont use your hands smds, make all original
